A fatal incident occurred after a single-car accident on Long Island.
Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, emergency services in North Hills were dispatched to Shelter Road, located immediately south of the Long Island Expressway, due to a collision.
The police reported that they discovered an overturned Volkswagen containing a 72-year-old male driver still seated inside. Emergency services transported him via ambulance to the hospital where he was later declared deceased.
There were no other vehicles involved, and no one else sustained injuries from the accident.
As of Tuesday night, the victim's identity had not been disclosed. Stay tuned to Daily Voice for further updates.
