A fatal accident occurred after a vehicle crashed solo on Long Island.
Emergency responders from North Hills were dispatched to Shelter Road, located immediately below the Long Island Expressway, due to an accident reported shortly after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8.
The police reported that they discovered an overturned Volkswagen containing a 72-year-old man who was still in the driver's seat. The individual was transported via ambulance but was declared deceased upon arrival at the medical facility.
There were no other cars involved, and no one else sustained injuries from the accident.
As of Tuesday night, the victim's identity had not been disclosed. Stay tuned to Daily Voice for further updates.
