Volvo XC60 models are under recall [MINISTRY OF LAND, INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORT]

On Thursday, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport announced that five automakers—Volvo Cars Korea, Mercedes-Benz Korea, MAN Truck & Bus Korea, Jaguar Land Rover Korea, and Nissan Korea—will initiate voluntary recalls for a total of 117,925 vehicles spanning 49 different models because of production flaws.

Starting April 21, Volvo plans to recall 95,573 vehicles across eight different models, such as the XC60, because of a software issue with the event data recorder (EDR). This problem might stop important driving details from being accurately logged.

A total of 1,560 vehicles across three Volvo models, featuring the XC60, are being recalled starting this Friday because of potential fires triggered by faulty drive batteries.

On Friday, Mercedes-Benz Korea plans to initiate a recall for 17,285 vehicles across nine different models, such as the S580 4MATIC, because there are worries about potential leaks of brake fluid stemming from inadequate resilience of the brake lines.

MAN Truck & Bus Korea has initiated a recall for 1,515 vehicles across 24 different models, such as the TGX Tractor. This action was taken because an overload in the central vehicle control unit might lead to the transmission shifting inadvertently from Drive (D) to Neutral (N). The recall process started on April 1st.

Starting Monday, Jaguar Land Rover Korea plans to recall 1,401 units across four different models, such as the New Range Rover P530 LWB, because water might seep into the rearview camera, potentially causing the display function to fail.

Customers can determine if their cars are part of the recall by accessing the vehicle recall site ( car.go.kr ) or contacting the recall center at 080-357-2500.
