ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford is set to make a big impact in the world of NASCAR through driver Josh Bilicki’s No. 91 Chevrolet Camaro SS. This car will sport a specially designed livery that highlights the city, reaching millions of viewers across the country as it races at speeds up to 200 mph.
The vehicle associated with Rockford receives sponsorship from Dan Block, who owns Insurance King. It includes artwork featuring the Rockmen Guardians, the emblem of the Rockford Peaches, an adaptation of Symbol by Alexander Liberman, as well as an illustration of a sock monkey.
The Insurance King has been sponsoring Bilicki’s DGM racing team since 2019.
Bilicki mentioned Dan’s approach to trying everything, including incorporating our current car designs into video games that many people enjoy," he stated. "Additionally, Dan has a desire to contribute to his hometown of Rockford, making this recently redesigned vehicle ideal for such endeavors.

Bilicki, who hails from Wisconsin, will pilot the Rockford-themed vehicle at the Rockingham Speedway located in North Carolina on Saturday, April 19th, for the NASCAR Xfinity Series North Carolina Education Lottery 250 race.
It holds a particular charm, largely due to Rockford Speedway, where I had the opportunity to compete prior to its closure," Bilicki stated. "Many individuals within our field acknowledge Rockford mainly for Rockford Speedway. Thus, I believe this will generate excitement among both NASCAR personnel and enthusiasts. Additionally, numerous professionals within the industry hail from the Midwest—states like Wisconsin and Illinois—and have personal histories with Rockford. Therefore, when they spot 'Rockford' emblazoned on a vehicle at Rockingham, it'll hold significant sentimental value for them.
The inaugural event at Rockingham in over two decades will air at 3 p.m. on the CW Network.
"Viewers are invited to watch the race and identify the Rockford-labeled vehicle during the live stream. Post your captures and cheers on social media with the hashtag #GoRockfordRacing," stated GoRockford in a press release.
