A vehicle collided with and damaged a Chase Bank building in the northwest area. Modesto Wednesday.

The Modesto Fire Department stated that emergency responders got calls starting at around 3 p.m. about a vehicle colliding with a bank located on the 2900 block of Standiford Avenue.

Upon the arrival of the crew, they discovered an overturned vehicle within the bank premises and also pressed up against the primary electrical panel at the site. The firefighters mentioned that the automobile had collided with the northern section of the structure.

According to officials, there were two individuals in the car; one exited before emergency personnel showed up, whereas another remained inside, ensnared within the debris.

The firefighters disconnected the power supply and extracted the individual who was stuck inside the vehicle. According to the Modesto Police Department, both the driver and passenger were transported to a medical facility. Authorities mentioned that the passenger sustained slight injuries whereas the driver suffered severe wounds.

The fire department stated that neither bank staff nor customers sustained any injuries.

The reason for the accident is still being looked into.
