Oxford County Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, previously called Bessey Motor Sales, unexpectedly shut down in South Paris last week.

According to court documents Secured through Maine's Total Coverage, Rockland Trust Company has taken over the establishment on Main Street following an authorization issued on April 3rd. According to the documentation, the entities involved—the defendants—comprise Southern Hall, LLC, along with John L. Emerson, and they are indebted to Rockland Trust for an amount totaling $4,462,621.27; however, the current valuation of the automobile outlet’s leftover stock stands at just $946,945.

Rockland Trust is a banking institution headquartered in Rockland, Massachusetts.

On Saturday, a staff member informed Maine's Total Coverage that he was forced to exit the premises, dismissed from the dealership, and instructed that he needed to consult with a lawyer before retrieving his personal items from the establishment.

On Monday, a different customer voiced a complaint as well, informing Maine's Total Coverage that his vehicle remained locked up at the dealership even though their business was shut down. The customer mentioned that currently, he has been compelled to use a rental car while planning to take legal steps.

Maine's Total Coverage has contacted John Emerson for his input, however, he hasn't replied yet.
